Tom has been our caller since the club's inception on January 12. 2008. He has been married to his wife Teresa since 1993, and together they have four children and five grandchildren.
Tom has been a member of the Atlanta Area Square Dance Callers Association (AASDCA)
and CallerLab since 2007 and called at the last three Georgia State Conventions
and two National Conventions.
Says Tom: "I enjoy calling a fun, high energy square dance where smiles and laughter
are never in short supply. My favorite quote is 'Life is not a journey to the grave
with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming
Wow! What a ride!!'" |
Anne and her husband Gup have been married for 43 years and have two daughters and four grandchildren. They have been teaching and cueing for 13 years. Their round dance club is the Diamond Turns (a 4/5 with a few 6's club), and they cue for the Kennesaw Square Dealers as well as our club.
Anne and Gup are members of the Atlanta Area Round Dance Teachers Association,
the Dixie Round Dance Council (where they are currently chairmen), ICBDA, Roundalab and GRDTA.
Away from the dance floor, Anne volunteers as a reader at an elementary school once a week,
while Gup finds joy in being a real beard Santa during the Christmas season.

Beach Party
|
This dance is sure to be special, as we'll be trucking in enough sand from Panama City to fill the community center to a depth of six inches! No, actually we couldn't get permission to do that, but it'll be special anyway. Wear your beach shirt and bring your surf board for a swingin' time on the beach!
August 28
|
Salad Celebration Dance
|
Our innovative chefs will take charge of this one, with a variety of interesting salad creations!
Sept 11
|
Proud To Be An American Dance
| We will be honoring 9/11 at this dance, with some patriotic calls and cues planned. If you like, wear your red, white, and blue.
Sept 25

Crazy T Shirt Dance
| Feel free to go grub for this dance. Wear that strange T shirt you bought when you were vacationing in the Ozarks.

Octoberfest
|
A smorgasbord of German food is planned for this dance. We'll leave it up to Tom and Anne to find some music to fit the occasion. (You can square dance to polka music, can't you?)

The T Squares First Annual Murder Mystery!
|
We're promising you'll get to see something you've never seen before at a square dance, that being someone will get killed. Can you figure you who did the dastardly deed? Come in costume if you like (it is, after all, close to Halloween) -- you may even become one of the suspects! |
